I'm afraid it might not be the last! It's more usually the case that once a phantomer, always a phantomer! Except when really in whelp of course. Doesn't make it easy to know when they are and when they're not though and they can be VERY convincing when they're just kidding! Kit gave me a few nasty moments after her last season. Like you, I KNEW she hadn't been mated, but when the lady in the market said to me "she's put on a bit of weight" I did worry for a few days. Never a dull moment is there?
