Biff,
Thank you for your utter honesty in this post. I am basically amazed at the candor you display here. It's quite impressive that you aren't afraid to say these types of things, especially in front of some of us. I remember that when I was a Christian, I always kept my questions out of discussions with non-Christians. I felt that if they knew I had any problems whatsoever with either the Bible or living the Christian life, that they wouldn't have wanted to believe it. Now I can see clearly, from being on the other side of the equation, that your honesty is actually refreshing and inviting.
We have all heard people be completely positive they are right and say there are no real problems with the Bible, and we all know it's not true, so people like that come across as kind of fake. But to hear someone who is willing to admit these things in front of a group like us is refreshing to the point of making me want to listen more closely to why you believe the things you do.
