I have just invented a man called Brandy who by some quirk of time missed yesterday. Yesterday did not exist. Did anyone reading this miss yesterday? No? Neither did I. The day missed by Brandy had no more to do with the REAL yesterday than Shandy’s infinity had to do with the infinity under discussion.

The real trick in the pseudo reasoning is the ability to mentally manipulate infinity by associating the intractable CONCEPT with a THING, Shandy. Because Shandy was an imaginary individual and the situation not only imaginary but absurd, like the lost yesterday and the REAL yesterday, the infinity in which Shandy worked had nothing to do with the reality of the time span behind us. Shandy was in essence a straw man.

P.S. in my last message I said that Wade had begged the question, this was not strictly true, and wasn’t meant in the strict logical sense. It struck me as ironic that he called the two possibilities absurdities as his arguments were premised within an absurdity (the infinite lifespan of a mortal) that had to be assumed before he could pronounce the situation of an infinite past to be impossible because the possibilities thrown up by the Shandy story were absurd.
