Consistently as wrathful? The only reason he wasn't as “consistently” as wrathful as last season is that we were often dealing with different circumstances. There's a time to be wrathful and a time not to be. According to the story, God was wrathful only on the wicked, the disobedient and unrepentant etc. and we see a lot more of those people and societies in the OT, but once we encounter them in the NT, little changes. Revelation 4:10-11 is proof of that. See also Matthew 11:20-24.
