Hi Quittner,

Being a Christian doesn't make one perfect. It makes one forgiven and redeemed. Christians have to choose godliness and try and be like Christ. We always, inevitably fall short, though.

You gave an example of prison. Sometimes, people get thrown in prison when they don't deserve it. Plus, some countries outside the U.S. throw people in prison for no reason or no good reason at all.

Anyhow, the main difference that separates the Chrsitian from the non-Christian isn't necessarily their personal righteousness. It is their humility before God. The Christian admits that he/she is a sinner in need of forgiveness from the Creator. The unbeliever does not.
