>Why am I happy to be a Jehovah's Witness. All I say I
>truly believe in my heart, and not as result of being
>brain-washed or in-doctrinated, in case that may be
>what some choose to think. Thank you.
Why can't it be a combination of both? You believe it in your heart, but you are nonetheless brainwashed and indoctrinated. Couldn't these both be true at once?
>It is my contention and belief,
>that if Jesus were walking on earth today, the only
>faith/religion that he could possibly belong to, is
>Jehovah's Witnesses.
>
>Why do I believe that. Simply a process of
>elimination. Jehovah has had on the earth, for 1000,s
>of years, an instrument, or spokesman, be that
>Prophets, Prophetesses, Judges, Kings, Bible writers,
>Jesus Christ, the Apostles, etc, etc, etc,. It stands
>to reason, at least for me, that the same would be
>true today, in the period identified in the Bible as
>"The Last Days".
First of all, I don't agree with these premises, but, for the sake of argument, let's say that I do.
> Jehovah has always had the highest
>and Holiest of Principles and Standards. These cover
>every aspect and decision we face in life. Do you
>agree.?
No, but we'll pretend I do.
> Therefore, which person out there can possibly
>claim that the worlds religions, "whichever", outside
>of Jehovah's Witnesses, even claim to follow such. Do
>not all of them these days, allow, condone, and
>support: Homosexuality, Lesbianism, (same things I
>agree), Abortion, Killing in Nationalistic wars,
>Fornication, Adultery, Gambling, Smoking, Stealing,
>Lying, Spiritism, etc, etc,.
No, they absolutely do not, and if this is what you have been taught, you have been misled. I was involved in a very non-Jehovah's Witness church which did not by any means support any of the things you list above, and for the same reason you listed--the Bible indicates that they are wrong. So if your logic is sound (I think it's actually flawed), then I still have to choose from several religious systems which condemn these things because of the Bible.
>All of the above are totally and irrevocably condemned
>in the Holy Bible.
Many denomnations of Christianity would agree with you.
>Using that as a measuring stick, you can see, with an
>open, unbiased, reasonable mind, that the only
>religion on earth, that Jesus Christ would be able to
>walk with, and know that he had his God's favour, is
>Jehovah's Christian Witnesses.
Heh heh. I think I have an open, unbiased, reasonable mind, but you have completely and utterly failed to prove the point you set out to prove. Using only your premises, it is still simple to disprove your argument. So even if your premises were right (I don't think they are, for reasons I might get into if you ever reply to this), you have still not proven your point to anyone's satisfaction except your own, and, I presume, other Jehovah's Witnesses.
>There are also many doctrinal issues, but they can be
>twisted and turned by all and sundry. I have no time
>for "timewasters" who twist scripture. I have
>invariably found that they are out for personal glory,
>not Jehovah's. Leave doctrine aside. On the moral
>issues above, Jesus would, indeed could, only be a
>Jehovah's Witness, if he walked on earth today. Hence
>I am happy and proud to be known as one. I will
>continue to struggle to live up to the name I carry.
>With Jehovah's help and blessing, and the guidance of
>his Son, Jesus Christ, I pray I will succeed.
I'm glad you're happy in the belief system you hold to be true. Many people from many religions are also happy with their beliefs. I see nothing special about yours.
