The phrase “who can it be now?” does seem familiar, but I don’t know where it’s from. I am a young college student, so it maybe that it’s because I’m too young. BTW, did you see my little biosketch and photo? That’s what I look like, in case anybody’s wondering. Inspired by Ben’s post of getting along and learning more about each other I just thought I’d mention it.

According to the New Testament, Pilate feared that there would be a riot. Some false witnesses testified that Jesus ordered people not to pay taxes. Too reluctant to accept Jesus as the Son of God? I would accept this scenario. Some nutball who thinks he’s the Son of God irritates some Pharisees by claiming (perhaps correctly) that they’re self-righteous hypocrites. The Pharisees don’t like it, so they want to come up with a plan to eliminate this troublemaker by having him crucified. In the end, it was not Rome that saw Jesus as a threat, but some religious leaders. That’s what really led to his death.
>>That’s probably open to debate.

For those Christians struggling with doubts there is, though I think most of us have had doubts at one time or another.

Ah the 80s. I don’t remember a damn thing from that decade. No wait, I do remember me as a small kid looking at a calendar that was on a little plastic card, but that’s it. (Sorry if this makes you feel old.)
