I guess I just have to use my own judgment, think things through to decide which, if any, are coming straight from God. I have discovered at least one earmark to help me in similar cases, but sometimes the process can be difficult, too limited data, and sometimes I just have to plead ignorance.
In Mosaic Law people had a similar problem. How are we to know the prophet is truly from the Lord? The answer: empirically test him. The prophet should make a prediction and you see if it comes true. If it doesn’t, the prophet has spoken prematurely, “do not be afraid of him.” Gotta love the Jews. Alas, seldom do we get that kind of testability in modern day Christianity in cases like this; none I’ve encountered so far have put themselves to the test.

You’re welcome.
