Once when really young (maybe 5 or so) my mother, sister and I were visiting one of my mother's friends who had kids our age. I disobeyed an instruction to stay away from their pool. Because of the potential danger of the situation I got my shorts and underwear lowered and taken over my mother's knee in front of all for a memorable meeting with a wooden hairbrush that my mom borrowed from her friend. I never did THAT again! Several times my pants came down for a bare bottomed spanking when my grand mom was present. I think my mother wanted to show what a good disciplinarian she was. My grandma completely approved, although neither I nor my poor fanny liked it one bit!
