Description JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Camp Manager/Head Cook this position is responsible for performing housekeeping duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• General housekeeping duties
• Assist with laundry duties if necessary.
• Making beds.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Promotes, establishes, and maintains a safe work environment for all employees and clients.
• Ability to work independently and effectively with a team.
• Build and maintain good public relations with the client, residents, and co-workers.
• Monitor and maintain a high level of safe and sanitary working conditions.
• Additional duties as assigned.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Requires living and working in remote and confined workspaces for extended periods of time. Required to work 12 hours per day, 7 days a week on 2 by 2 rotational schedule. Regular exposure to plane and bus transportation to camp and return. Exposure to day or night shifts. The majority of work is performed in a remote environment with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities and abilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Have the ability to work long hours to complete all required tasks and will need to be able to quickly respond to a change in work demands.Lack of immediate access to critical medical services as well as urban community services. [Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions].
