Date Posted: 08:34:19 12/15/13 Sun Mark your calendars Feb 15 Miss Crescent City New Orleans Festival Queens are invited to be presented at our preliminary to Miss Louisiana and Miss America. The Miss Crescent City New Orleans scholarship organization wishes to invite young women to participate in our official preliminary to Miss Louisiana and Miss America. Prospective contestants 17-24 years of age are eligible to compete for the title of Miss Louisiana (must be a high school graduate by June of 2014). Each contestant will compete in 4 phases of competition: Personal Interview, Lifestyle and Fitness, Evening Gown, and Talent. Each contestant must also adopt a community service platform that she will be responsible for promoting if crowned Miss Crescent City New Orleans. The Miss America organization has partnered with Children's Miracle Network to raise funds and awareness for children's hospitals throughout the United States. Contestants competing in Miss America-sponsored pageants are required to a minimum of $100 in donations for Children's Miracle Network and the Miss American Scholarship Fund.
