It shouldn't matter how you allocate your marks as long as you can justifiy why you placed someone higher or lower through comments, etc.

I would suggest though that competitors in lower levels obviously be marked lower. Their mark should be how they danced and on their technique, not by the overall competition. By this, I mean, don't always have the idea that you will have your winning mark be, let's say, a 90 (which when you think about beginner competitions, would you really give them a 90 when that is the winning mark at lets say and Oireachtas or worlds?)Obviously a beginner would be marked much lower than say a Prelim or Championships dancer (ex: 70-90 range for prelims to open and lets say 50-70 for beginners, etc., however there is no set rules you have to follow when allocating marks).
