Subject: Beyond the answer they want you to put on the test, it's irrelevant. Any tunes in duple meter can be written in 2/4 or 4/4, and you could find all of them written in both time signatures. One is chosen over the to make it easier to read. I have a tutorial on "Understanding Timing in Irish Dance Music". Just send me an email: mark@markarringtonmusic.com
In reply to: What should I put? 's message, "HELP!! The list of sets they sent says Rodney's Glory is in 4/4 timing, my notes say 2/4, the session.org says 2/4. I would rather trust what they list for us to go off of but I think it is wrong." on 18:51:36 09/23/10 Thu
