Santo Domingo.- Dalia Fernandez, who represented Santiago, was elected Miss Dominican Republic 2011 last night, in the pageant held in the Hotel Jaragua.
The first finalist is Katherine Cruz, from Santo Domingo North, while third, fourth and fifth places went to the candidates Kirssi Abreu, from the National District; Evaida Santana, from Peravia, and Luz Goico, from El Seibo.
The public booed the jury members disgruntled with their selection of the Santiago beauty, and instead supported Katherine Cruz, who was the early favorite.
