Me dí a la tarea de revisar la gestión de la Sra. LUPE JONES, MISS UNIVERSO 1991. He querido ser imparcial a la hora de evaluar su obra desde su elección como reina universal, y luego como Directora Nacional de Nuestra Belleza México.
Tras su fracaso matrimonial con el empresario Simon Charaf, Lupe quiere rehacer su vida sentimental.

En la ceremonia de coronación estuvo presente Bárbara Palacios quien ayudEa imponerle la banda de Miss Universo.

Momentos después de ser coronada como la primera Miss Universo mexicana, Lupe posa con CARLOS GUERRERO por entonces director general del concurso SRTA. MEXICO a quien debia su victoria. Lejos estaba de imaginar este caballero que apenas tres años después Lupita seria la encargada de preparar y elegir a las reinas aztecas para el MU y el MW.
