Subject: PUPPY CONTRACT..... Please read our Contract regarding Puppies at Heavenly Angels

Remember we are awarding puppies again this year- highest scoring Contestant--you will have the first choice of adopting a Puppy or selecting a prize off the Prize Table after the Puppy Raffle is announced! If you choose something off the prize table instead of the puppy the next in line will get the next chance of choosing until all puppies are gone. Remember you are not required to take a puppy! Many choose a prize from the table while others choose the puppy! This is your choice as a parent and must let us know at Registration Friday night, which you would prefer to win. Once you sign the paper for yes or no we will not change it. You are not allowed to take the puppy then turn around and give it to another contestant it must go directly to your home. If any puppy is not wanted once you get it you must return the puppy to us! We need to know Friday night at registration no exceptions! It is not fair for the children to have it presented to them when you have no intention of keeping it. We do not want to put the children through this. It makes it better for everyone to know in advance and prevent an uncomfortable situation for the parent. There will be raffle tickets available at the pageant for those of you who would like an extra shot at a puppy. We will be raffling off at least one puppy! The puppy will be designated at the raffle.
Heavenly Angel’s ADOPTION CONTRACT:
All animal adoption contracts approved by Heavenly Angels Pageant
1. The Adopter agrees that the animal will be kept only as a domesticated house pet. This means that dogs will be kept indoors except for periods of exercise in a fenced-in yard or on a leash.
2. The Adopter represents that all family members have agreed to the adoption of the animal and that all family members will abide by the terms of this agreements. The Adopter further represents that he/she is eighteen years of age or older.
3. The Adopter represents that he/she has never been subject to legal action for cruelty to or neglect of animals. The Adopter further represents that he/she has never owned an animal, which has been confiscated by any animal control or humane organization for violations of state or local animal control regulations or animal adoption agreements.
4. If the Adopter is a tenant, then Adopter agrees to provide written permission from the landlord consenting to the animal adoption.
5. If for any reason the Adopter is unable to provide care to the animal, the Adopter agrees to return the animal to HEAVENLY ANGELS PAGEANT. The Adopter shall not offer the animal for sale or give the animal to any third party.
6. The Adopter agrees to pay Heavenly Angels Pageant the sum of $300.00 as liquidated damages in the event the terms of this contract are breached; this liquidated damage value does not bar the Heavenly Angels Pageant from seeking the return of the animal by judicial process or other legal means if necessary. If legal action is instituted, the Adopter agrees to pay reasonable attorney's fees and court costs.
The Adopter hereby declares that he/she is aware:
· (a.) That animals are different from human beings in their responses to human actions;
· (b.) That the actions of animals are often unpredictable.
· (c.) That an animal's behavior may change after it leaves the pageant and accustoms itself to a home or other different environment; and
· (d.) That Heavenly Angels Pageants makes no claims as to the temperament, health, or mental disposition of any animal put up for adoption.
· The Adopter acknowledges that he/she has received a copy of the Heavenly Angels Pageant Animal Adoption Contract Terms.
The Adopter, hereby accepts possession of, title to (subject to the conditions of the adoption contract(, and responsibility for the animal adopted and agrees to release and discharge Heavenly Angels Pageant forever from liability for any injury or damages to any person or property caused by the adopted animal, and from any causes of action, claims, suits, or demands whatsoever that may arise as a result of such injury or damages.
