okay so a council member can be excused to jobs outside their work place, for example travel for their position as council member or say if that council member is a diver/fisherman can be excuse from their job to do their other other position of self employment. And yet not even be available as a council member but more then willing to be available as an acting mayor is the pay better? Can't be easy to decide what job position to be there for

So is there more money to be made acting as a mayor? Then fishing/diving then working the clinic? Does the clinic hold the job till their employer gets back from acting and fishing?
