I have the perfect solution to our towns ills and those who -- run for the $,
COUNCIL: cut ALL salaries in HALF effective this next election!
IF you want support from the people you represent then do something about the out of control salaries- NO ONE up there is worth more than 50,000 on a good day- period- and get rid of 1/2 of the workers!
IF you want to do what the voters want- then SOMEONE stand up at the next meeting and tell the rest we need to address the salaries of all! not one- not the executives only- ALL
do it- see who walks

Our town is in poor financial shape- so why are we paying -- so much out for their salaries?, 09/09/11 Fri
THEY have done nothing to better the community and some of them have been there for decades. IT is time to wipe that slate clean of heavy weights and if they are truly there to serve US then we sure as s*(%$ need to see them sign up when the salary is 50,000 or LESs- if they do then they will be there for the town not the pay.
IT is INSANE what the town pays out to the executives- it is a crying shame- NOT one deserves the pay they are getting for a small sinking community.
We don't even get our oranges any more- our 4th and 7ths are run on HANDOUTS- it is a shame we are so bad off-
CUT the pay COUNCIL- who has the balls to stand up and say it is time to address the out of control salaries and NOT give pay raises for 5 years AT LEAST- see who stays and who turns and runs- it is TIME ....it is really past due
GET what we pay for- we pay out 100,000 plus for a mayor to travel- he can travel on 50,000 or LESS

I get only 15,000 a year that's poverty level. And don't get anyting like ATAP. or food stamps and still I'm able to live very comfortable. And there are a lot of Members on that same scale of income. Why is the Mayor getting such a high salary? It is sad for our poor town.

IF anyone runs for council or the executive offices they will prove to me that they are taking and pushing for a cut in pay- YOU will weed out those who are in it for just the HIGH pay- the salaries are out of control- the council needs to get off their lazy asses and do something about the salary- we can't afford it- we're struggling and living off the ill gotten $gain from the "not" gambling gambling hall- all the money that the town gives out in salary goes right back into the executives pockets- WHEN will the council start connecting?

Cut the council board in half, cut the pay waaaay down...as for travel..WHY.. should they stay at such lavish hotel's an shop to....? you would think that the "old" council member's would know their saving money by cutting the council board in half, and get rid of all those "un-necessary" committee's to..time to clean house as did other tribe's bravley did..so can we..off with the old, on with the new..BE PUSHY about it to, not scared! to many scaredy cats in this town, NO change will ever happen in this town unless some brave men and women step up to the plate and start private meeting's with SERIOUS people who really want change, and really get something going!
