Good to hear that someone has actually managed to meet someone there with similar interests who isn't half-a-world away. Pretty amazing that you managed to find a motel which allows smoking in the rooms; most I've seen lately are 100% non-smoking, which sucks of course. Fingers crossed for you that things will continue to progress from there. Is there a particular place you hope it might lead? Teaching the boy to smoke, perhaps...?
