It is so stressful moving house as you rightfully say. I'm packing up for 6 of us. I'm throwing out stuff into a skip bin. Other things are on the side of the street waiting for the council cleanup I've organised. People are taking stuff at will. The thought of electricity and gas being disconnected here and connected simultaneously at our new place will be awkward if it doesn't occur at the time of settlement. Then we have to rely on removalists to be here at the stated time of 7.30am on Saturday week, pack our belongings, transport those to our new place and carry a lot of furniture upstairs. Then I'll be battling internet providers. I'm not taking any chances. My husband and I will be taking the kids to a restaurant for dinner on the night we move. I couldn't be arsed fiddling my way through crockery, cutlery, pots and pans then cooking even though boxes will be marked with contents.
