Subject: Laptop Modem

I am interested in purchasing a notebook (laptop).

I will be doing a lot of traveling and want to know how a wireless built-in-modem will enable me to access the WWW.

Please explain how this connectivity works and if there will be any plug in necessary. Please update me on what and where to look for in when purchasing such a laptop.

I could not see any laptop with a "built-in-modem" feature(s)in the laptop description.
