If you want a quality production, all money that comes in needs to go to it. Hotel/ballroom or theatre setting costs an arm and a leg. Major pageants aren't held in a school auditorium, where it's cheap. A quality pageant is what will attract more contestants. (NT) No name 06:14:15 08/18/11 Thu

Well, mine will be a school Auditorium this year and I can assure you their will be nothing cheap about it. It really has nothing to do with Venue. You can make a high school look like a million bucks. And, I will continue to take my judges out to expensive dinners because they are giving me their time,and I will continue to have it at expensive venues because the girls deserve this. Yes, it is me. I was just being lazy with the email address. YES, I will be having Miss Maine USA/Miss Maine Teen USA at the Westbrook Performing Arts Center and if you have ever been there then you know it is state of the art.
