You need to explore the basement and find the controls for that pole that's blocking it. The room for the controls is in the far northwest corner of the basement (look for stairs to basement on the 1st floor map- unfortunately there's no basement map). You open the panel on the machine and punch aroudn for awhile till the light turns green- then the pole will move out of the way- all you have to do is open the door. Go to the T2 section, then use the 'Secrets/FAQ' link to find the info for that mission.
