Subject: Transferring Save Games

Hi, recently formatted my hard disk. Backed up all my files in the save directory. But when I reinstall the game and recopied all my stuff back, only the very first saves is recognised and the rest is shown as empty when there is a total of 14.Anyone know how to do this?
