Subject: Jimmy Sangster (1927-2011)

A major creative force at Hammer Films, Jimmy Sangster wrote or co-wrote the screenplays for many of the studio's most successful pictures, including The Curse of Frankenstein (1957), Horror of Dracula (1958) and The Mummy (1959).

Sangster also directed three Hammer pictures: The Horror of Frankenstein (1970), Lust for a Vampire (1971) and Fear in the Night (1972).

The Hammer Films website posted a nice tribute to Jimmy Sangster, including a complete list of his Hammer credits.

(note: Dracula (1958) was the original title in the UK, it was released in the USA as Horror of Dracula)
