Subject: Yet Another Good Book

Found yet another good book. Cocktail type book, DK Publishing. On Amazon about $24 down from $40 cover price. Man, if you like monsters...Universal, Hammer, oldies, newer, space monsters, Godzilla types, you name it. Colorful, has text and most pictures...you will enjoy if a monster fan. (Some racy pix though, keep away from small kids). It has...well, read some of the write ups on Amazon. I'm normally hesitant in recommending unless I know its good. Now, I just thumbed thru this, but I like it a lot so far.. interviews, makeup, sets, old and new, posters, pix galore. I recommend. On quality paper, sharp pix. You'll need to spend near a buck more on Amazon for free shipping. Go for it. Book is...Monsters in the Movies, by John Landis, 100 years of Cinematic Nightmares.

It sounds like an interesting book from a noted filmmaker. John Landis is the director behind An American Werewolf in London (1981) and part of Twilight Zone: The Movie (1983).

He is also known for a number of successful comedies, including Animal House (1978) and The Blues Brothers (1980).

Tim
