No school for us today.

My little brother has a bad headache.

Tony didn't sleep all night - bad nightmares.

I'm having stomach problems again.

I kind of have a weak stomach. It really sucks.

Mom thinks that I am lactose intolerant and wants me to get tested. I told her no.

I don't think that I'm lactose intolerant, because I can't eat peas or apples etc. without having problems as well.
I hate it!
IF I am really intolerant then I probably won't be able to enlist in a few years. And I don't even want to think about that.

So if anybody has any idea what we can do to feel better, please tell us. ;)

Honestly with all you have been through, I would not be surprised if it is an ulcer. I know you HATE doctors but bite the bullet and ask your parents to take you to get checked out. Do not let a treatable simple thing turn big and hurt your chances at enlisting.

Until you get to the doc, eat softer and milder foods in smaller portions. Also, I find ginger ale helps.

Spider,

This is outside my medical expertise, but I think you should get tested. Maybe you're lactose intolerant AND something else that would explain the peas and apples, or maybe you can rule out being lactose intolerant.

Knowing seems better than guessing or just feeling bad.

Good luck, and keep us posted.

I went on Friday.

The doctor said if I could (sometimes) eat yogurt and choclate and stuff then it's probably not lactose intolerance.

He asked me to keep an eye on it and that it could also be that it is just stress related. Seems like a lot if people have stomach problems when they are stressed.

This thing actually has a name, but I forgot it.

Whatever it is, it probably isn't anything serious, but it still sucks.

I forgot to ask the doctor about enlisting, so I asked dad. He said not to worry about it right now. I'm real worried that I won't be able to enlist.

I am glad you went to the doctor.

I bet the term you are looking for is Functional Dyspepsia and it doesn't surprise me.

Just try to not let things stress you so much.

I still say try some ginger ale.

I still don't remember what the doctor said, but it could be that it was this Functional thingy.

Yeah, I think I'll try some ginger ale. And avoid stress, if that's possible.
