I am going legally this time!

Dad finally called me! He was supposed to see me for my birthday on April 4 but he is going to do better. We have two weeks off from school in March for Spring break and I will be going to Germany for one of those weeks to visit my father. It will be an early birthday present.

Mom is very OK with it and encouraged me to do it. She thinks it will help me.

Dad said he would also pay for a friend to come too because he said there would be a couple of days I would want some company. It was hard to decide but I think I am going to take Mark. He and I are close and he has had some issues lately. Also, he has a current passport and Turtle and Caleb don't. Colby has a valid passport but his parents aren't keen on him leaving the country with someone they have barely met - totally understandable. Uncle Pat said it was OK if Mark said he would like to go.

I am excited.

That's great news!

I think it's a good idea to take Mark with you. It'll be fun!

You know, I might have some questions about Germany in the future. Mom got a job offer in Germany and I know she'd love to take it. She lived in Germany as a kid and LOVES it there. But she says there is no rush. And I'm not sure dad wants to leave. I actually don't want to leave either.

I'm going to make a seperate post about it, just wanted to mention it.
