She says it is more for our safety than anything, she can know how hard she is hitting so that she knows she isn't hitting too soft or too hard, she has more control. I never really knew that spankings (other than paddlings at school) were ever really done any way other than bare, but we might have a skewed perspective because my mom does the spanking and 1) it is all daughters, so no gender awkwardness & 2) my mom has a more relaxed view on nudity than most americans because she was raised in Spain. Well not really more relaxed, just different definition....breasts and bottoms aren't really considered "naked" parts so much to her, its just the private areas that are, well, private.
