 So I don't quite know why I'm joining this forum. A friend of mine recommended it to me when I was trying to help my younger cousin understand the place of spanking in raising a child. I like that this provides a community for those of us who are subject to spanking, society too often makes us feel alone, but I feel odd joining because I'm not really spanked any more. Or, I mean, I am, but I'm not. I'm 15, in the 10th grade, and my mom still "would" in a heartbeat. I even get threatened on rare occasions. But at my age I'm pretty well behaved, follow the rules, and rarely get in trouble.....and when I do it is usually small enough or rare enough that it doesn't elevate beyond something like time out, or extra chores, or a grounding. I haven't gotten an actual spanking since I was about 12. That said, all of my younger sisters (6, 8, and 11) still get spanked and I definitely still "could" if I messed up. Spankings in my house are done immediately, in the most private spot readily avaliable (how private depending on when and where it happens). They are bare bottomed over a knee with a ping pong paddle through about elementary school. After that, you have to bend over something and mom uses the belt.

My dad passed away four years ago and my mom is a single mom.

I play soccer and swim, but my main passion is art and literature. I don't know how often I'll post or read, but I do promise to come back.
