PJ,

How have you been? Brooks tells me it seems your health is improving some, I hope it continues.

Brooks also told me you got Saturday detention for texting in class, I can relate. I was busted twice last year for texting in class and received Sat. detention both times. For the first offense it was a half day (8:30-11:30) and the second time it was suppose to be the entire day (8:30-3:00), but I got early release and was dismissed at noon.

Sat detention can be very boring, at my school you can't sleep or talk with your friends. We can work on our school work and if we have nothing to do, the monitor can assign you sometime to do. I don't need to read another book, write lines or do an extra report, so I made sure I was busy.

The second time I was the only immate that day and I spent most of the time talking with Mr. F, our Principal who was the monitor that day. We talked about school, our football team, the school basketball team, hunting, the Minnesota Vikings, and a couple of nasty people in our town. Weird, I came to respect him that day.

Hope your sentence goes well.

Great to hear from you!!

I am getting much better.

I didn't go to detention. I just couldn't stand the idea of sitting there writing lines for five hours.

I talked with the principal and I will see him Tuesday (Monday is a holiday for us) for an "alternate" punishment.

It wasn't even my phone. I was grounded and had lost my phone to Dad and so I was borrowing a friend's phone. Imagine explaining that to Dad.

Acting Attorney's of Law Mark Athlete & Drew here:

We think PJ should be given just a "WARNING-NOT TO DO THIS
AGAIN" by Mr. Walters to not use a phone during class time and or text messages! No matter whose phone it was!!

PJ is a good student, an honorable individual, of good charactor, an up standing citizen at school, community, he loves his school, teachers, fellow students and would do anything to bring continued pride to his school!!

Anyone can have a "downtime" moment of not thinking. It could happen because of the wintertime blues and wishing
spring was here. Or, wanting to make sure you can have lunch with a fellow student and contact by phone texting a message for invitation might be the way to do it at the moment.

Yes, Mr. Walters, PJ hasn't had to "visit" you in your office for a year to year and a half, so could you please
give him a break and punishment this time of "JUST A WARNING, THIS TIME, YOUNG MAN!"?

We rest our plea and case and if that is not enough...
we could plead insanity for a moment on behalf of PJ!!
