The score was tied 63-63 at end of 4th quarter to send game into a single overtime, which our team was able to pull off a 70-67 league win to keep us and two other teams in a 3-way tie for first place with one remaining regular season game to be played. Scoring in the above game was: Mark Athlete scored 20 points, including ONE 3-pointer Jake scored 14 points Drew scored 10 points, had 4 rebounds Sean scored 8 points. The win gives us a league record of 12-2. Overall season record of 21-3. Next & last regular season game will be Friday, March 1, 2013 at our school and it will be Parent's Night. If we win, we will finish in first place in the league. Depending on how the other two schools tied with us so, we might have to share the league title. Next week is District Tournament at another school hosting, and we drew a bye and will play in the semi-final game on Wed., 3-6-2013. If we win we play in the District Title game to be played on Friday, March 8, 2013. Good Luck Brady and Tanner in your college play-off games and Jonah Good Luck to you and your team in high school play-offs. Wyatt, sorry your team can't play further but, you and the team gave it your best shot and proud of YOU! Brooks, again proud of YOU there Little Brother making it to compete at state wrestling, too. It was Parent's Night and before the game team members and their parents were introduced to the crowd. The Hoopsters won 70-59. Scoring in the game: -Drew: 17pts., including one 3-pointer. -Mark: 15pts., including two 3-pointers. -Jake: 10pts., includes 3 rebounds. -Sean: 8pts., had two steals. Following the game were plenty of "congratulations" to the players from parents & crowd on hand, and in the locker room there was plenty of "whooping & hollering" and afterwards the team was given a CELEBRATION PIZZA PARTY by their Coaches with the parents' & others attending. The Hoopsters finish the regular season with a co-league championship record of 13-2 and extend their overall season record to 22-3. They play in District Tournament action on Wed., March 6 drawing a bye to play in the semifinal game. The title championship game will be played on Friday, Marcj 8, 2013.
