Subject: Girlfriends at a Distance & Gifts of Teddy Bears Author: Jake and Mark the Athlete [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 18:26:49 02/25/12 Sat Medical Bulletin Update on Flu Case of Jake and Mark the Athlete...Sat., 2-25-2012. Mark A. is feeling somewhat better with his severe flu and Jake's mild case is some what better. We slept some of the day away, and did have a couple meals of soft foods and a snack! We watch a little TV and flipped through the channels and watched Disney's "Lion King" and "Bambi". How sad, we forget in "Bambi" that his Mom get's shot by a hunter! We had some brightness to our "Trying to recover from the Flu" day to "cheer us up", girlfriends Holly (Mark A.) and Kelly (Jake) stopped by, and we could only see them at a distance for a short period of time. Man, was it SWEET to see them! We thanked them for letting everyone know who didn't know about us at our Friday basketball game we missed and that we couldn't play in for letting them. That was sweet of them and the rest of the CHEER TEAM to do the "Get Well" cheer for us we saw them do on Public TV that broadcasts our basketball games Friday night. Boy, great smiles from our two Ladies to help cheer us up when we saw them today. They brought us each a gift of a "Get Well Teddy Bear" to have to cuddle in bed, which we both will think of our Special Ladies being with us! We told the girls to keep the cellphone calls and text messages coming to us. They help us pass the time away when we aren't sleeping, just laying to rest, etc. They wanted to know if we'd feel better to come back to school by Monday so we can have some personal contact, but we still have some flu symptons to get over. We four did blow each other a kiss and hand to the heart before our girlfriends had to never. Mark's Mom insisted that "Mark and Jake need their rest and you girlf's don't need to be getting the flu, too!" Thanks alot, Mark's Mom! Oh, well...the sooner we get better and can be released from the homebound/hospital/recovery at Mark's House, the better! We have a basketball game Tuesday and Friday this week and we want to be there to celebrate. If things go right we'll be celebrating a LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP that our team owns all by itself and NOT shared with any other school before we hed into district play-offs the next week!
