To Mark, Drew, Sean and Jake...that's a really nice gesture to wish PJ and friends a good school year. You say your new year does not begin until after Labor Day. Know it is a month early still but allow me to wish you guys a great school year too. What year will it be for you?

You reference to PJ not wanting to go to the office and if he does, it might be for more than a 'talking to' and may result in some 'seat discomfort'. We had the school paddle in my day back in the 60s & 70s. Is that what you are suggesting might happen? Does the paddle still exist at your school or think it might at PJ's? Thought the paddle was outlawed now in most districts. Hope PJ and all you guys behave and never have to face the principal or paddle this year--if such option does still exist.

Again, have a great new school year.

I see where PJ is in his senior year. What year will you be in come September?

You advised PJ to avoid trouble that would end up with a trip to the office. When I was in school in the 60s & 70s, a trip to the office often resulted in a paddling or a note home for a guy. Seems as if most school districts have now outlawed CP as a method of discipline. How does your school office deal today with guys sent to the office?
