Hello

I have recently been spending time searching for sites like this. I have tried two but sadly neither have worked out, hopefully this one will be more productive. I am looking for advice rather than offering discussion but I am willing to offer my opinion here and there.

I am a fifty-something year old woman living in the UK, and as of september I have had my 15 year old niece living with me. I hope to get to know some of you better.

I would not say she is accepting me as a mother per se, but that isn't something I feel I should be aspiring to. She is making an effort to settle in and generally sh is a joy to have around.
