Hey everyone,
Well yours truly Jake and Brother Hoopster Mark have the flu but, Mark has it worse then I do!
As promised by Mark's dad and my dad went along too, we paid a "visit" to the doctors to see for sure if we had the flu or something else.
As I mentioned in another thread Brother Mark was up last night while I sleptover at his house after we studied for a test to have been given today (NO SCHOOL FOR US) and while we slept I heard him "visit" the bathroom to "throw up" from both of his ends-mouth and butt, so our dad's today took us to the doctors to confirm we have the flu.
I have a mild case, hardly no throwing up and some fever but, Mark was the worse of us with call kinds of symptons, chills, fever, throwing up and ache in the stomach, etc.
Mark insisted that he was "really okay, dad! I'm fine, and need to go to school to take a test and play basketball. Our league record of undefeated is on the line!"
Mark's dad knew better, and off Mark and I with my dad went to see our team basketball doctor.
Mark says he was fine, didn't need to see the doctor?
HA!
We had just gotten inside the doctor's office when Mark "lost" his cookies!
Nice entrance Mark!
Well, the team doctor didn't have any other reports of team members having the flu, but he checked us out and saw we did.
Lucky us, huh?
Well to help matters, especially Mark with the upset stomach and to prevent me from further health decline he decided to give us a shot!
Mark thought fine, "That will clear things up and we can still play basketball tonight!"
WRONG!
Doctor: "Mark and Jake, you both are RED FLAGGED from playing, until your free of the flu. Can't have you giving it to others and especially team members!
Well the doctor said he had to step out of the office for a moment but, we would return to give us our shots! We knew it would not be our arms, but in an areas a little south!
The doctor left the office so, Mark and I decided might as well drop out shorts and boxes and wait for the doctor to return. So there we stood, side-by-side two BARE BUTTS waiting to get poked when in came a female nurse!
You should have seen how fast two bare butt athletes pulled up their boxer shorts in record time!
Nurse: "Now, now, boys! Don't be embarrassed! I've seen hundreds of athletes' bare behinds in my nursing career and your two can be added to the count, so why don't you drop'em and we'll give you shots?"
Mark and Drew pulled down the boxer shorts just enough to expose their two butts, so the nurse could pick a cheek to, as the nurse said, "shoot Mr. Tushy, so that nasty flu bug will go away and you'll feel better!"
After we both got out our two shots we each was given a bandaid to wear. Did have a choice for selection, it was left up to the nurse. We checked later on, after the nurse left.
Mark's butt had Charlie Brown on his.
Jake's butt has Snoopy on his.
The Team Doctor came back in, orders of: plenty of bedrest, plenty of drinking fluids when we feel we can hold it down so we don't get dehydraded, soft foods to start with: broth, jello, etc. and no exciting thrills!
WHAT NO STEAK?
No exciting thrills? (does that include no girlfriends visiting?)
He meant no visits to give the flu to, only contact with parents, and Jake's parents agreed with the doctor that him becoming a roommate with Mark would conceal the flu from spreading!
So, looks like Mark and Jake will be calling on their cellphones and texting messages to girlfriends Holly and Kelly!
So, that's a medical report update!
