Sadly, the thought of wearing it to my reunion never even crossed my mind. :(
But I'd love to do it.

I might get my chance sooner than expected, though.
There is talk of a 55th reunion, since so many missed the 51st.
If that happens, I will surely use your idea.
Meanwhile, you will be the trailblazer in this concept.

Not sure exactly what you mean by "hopping that being a 50th more might show than usual."
I assuming that means "the effects of the girdle making you look slimmer."
If that is the case, I have no doubt that it absolutely will, from my own experience.

I have another idea where we could wear our girdles in public.
Take our wives out for a romantic dinner/dance date night.
This is the type of stuff ladies go nut over, especially long time married.
Don't tell her about the girdle, just put it on while dressing.
If she notices, tell her you want to look good, which is not a lie.
I might ask my wife to wear one too if she notices me. If she doesn't, then so be it.
You can decide whether it would or would not be a good idea for you, as you know your wife best.

Happy 4th to you too, Robert.
I look forward to your reunion night experience.
Cheers!
JP
