Subject: Make your own rubber girdles

A company in England called Dynamic Perversity makes sheet latex called Supatex that you can use to make your own rubber girdles. The open bottom girdle shown on the posting on 12/025/2023 is the easiest to make and uses the least material. The best thickness is .045mm. Many colors are available. This material is hard to work with as it curls when gluing, so you must glue the area to be glued to something else before you assemble it . Use Barge Cement and Acetone for joints to be taken apart. Use Rema Tip Top for final permanent gluing. Sandpaper smooth joints and clean with acetone before glueing. Best to make front and rear in two separate sections, glueing at the sides, and for maximum comfort do not put glued seams down the front or rear. These girdles are somewhat expensive and very labor intensive, but the glue joints and the material are nearly indestructible and will give many years of satisfactory service. Girdle must be powdered before putting on.
