I was feeling up set, even tearful, thinking of myself as an addict. So, I really appreciate your kind words, they made me feel that my girdle dependence isn't something I need to be ashamed of. Just a thing that women of my mother's generation took for granted and made peace with. It occurs to me that I'm dependent on air and water and friendship, and that girdle dependence is just another feeling that goes with the joys of wearing a stiff, tight girdle.
