I think many of us resented
/hated/couldn't bare girldles at first, I know I did. I used to take it off when I got to school and then put it back on after school, that way Nan would of not known until the day I for got to put it back on after school and came home to nan's where mum and I were living and I realized when I walked in the door and tried to sneak off to my bedroom to put it on but got caught by nan! The lecture I got, I can still see her standing over me, when mum got home she told me once we find somewhere to live I won't have to wear it but for now just do it please. I have worn a girdle since, had a few breaks in my late 30's where I stopped but now days its a girdle every day. It would be interesting to hear some more from your mother's girdle diary.
