 generally my mom kept syringes, needles, medicines ready in the locker for use.
You didn't answer my question. I wanted to know HOW did your mom get the syringes , needles and medications when they require a prescription?

Here in Italy syringes and needles don't need prescriptions.
For medications, I think she went some days before to the doctor, telling him I was illedm so he gave her the prescription. I remember the locker filled with a lot of medications, ready to be used on me when I needed.

Well, here in the United States, prescriptions are required for both syringes, needles and medication. So any one here in the U.S. don't get any bright ideas :)

Wrong! you can buy syringes in the U.S w/o a prescription! That's how I fill my ink cartridges.
