Every visit to the doctor throughout my youth and early adolescence ended with me pulling everything down and bending over the receptionist's lap for injections (penicillin when ill and booster shots when I wasn't). I don't recall them being very painful at the time but I often couldn't sit down afterwards. Worse than the pain was the humiliation of a girl watching me get them in my vulnerable bare bottom and the subsequent embarrassment of not being able to sit on the tender cheek.

I was hospitalized as a teen and got several injections a day for a week. All of those were in my butt. Since then I've only had a few injections in my butt. Everything goes in the arm these days. I had lots of butt shots from I was 4 till 8. In that period I was very often illed and every single time I was on my mom lap for shots.
I was injected by my aunt or a lady who was a friend of mom.
Mom held me firm during the injections.
Once, when I was 7, I contracted bronchitis and I received about 20 penicilline shots. I remember my but was swollen, full of bruses and my aunt had to to the last shots over the bruises. My mom was very worried.
