yes, as a child I sometimes got injections with vitamin at home from my (step-) father. Because the doctor said, I was not developing quick enough. Of course it hurted much but you cant do anything against it. the syringe was usually already prepared - dont know where they did it or where they stored the stuff.

Last summer I had to go to the dr for a sinus infection and a bad cough . The nurse took me back and put me in a room that was open in the front with just 3 walls and a half curtain in the front . She asked what brought me in today . She took my BP , temp , got my weight . She told me to have a seat and the DR. would see me soon. After about 10 min the nurse told me she was going to move me into a room with a door for more privacy in case I need shots or something . After I got in the room the Dr. And a young lady caring a laptop interred the room . The Dr. Ask how I was feeling I told her not well and I had been coughing so hard I had hurt my stomach . as I talk the girl type everything in to the laptop . The dr said she had heard me cough and she would give me some med. to control it . She had me lay back and pressed on my stomach then she asked if I was ok with shots I said yes . She told me she was going to give me 2 shots in the butt and some promethazine for the cough that would also help me sleep . She opened the door and told the nurse I needed Rocephin ,steroid and a promethazine . She then listened to my lungs and heart . she said she was also going to prescribe me a Z pack and a steroid pack and cough medicine . At this time she told me to stand up and pull my jeans down and she was going to do a hernia check . Before the nurse comes in to give you your meds in your bottom . As I stood up The nurse walked in the door leaving it open The doctor told her she was going to do a hernia check and then she can give me the meds . She pressed on both sides of my penis and and under my balls . had me cough . All was good . The nurse told me she was going to give me a shot in both hips she had me lean acrossed the table and relax my left leg . She snaped on a pair of gloves and wiped both sides of my butt and gave me my shots they hurt but not that bad . As I was about to pull up my underwear she said she had to give me my promethazine in the butt as well but it won't hurt . I said a 3rd shot the Dr . Said no it's a suppository that it will work fast and not have a bad taste like the liquid form . The nurse Had me to bend back over the table and she pushed it in .
