My boyfriend gave me a cat for my birthday and the other night I was playing with it and it jumped on my leg and scratched my thigh. Two days later my thigh was red and swollen. I was in my Hooters uniform and one of my customers could see the redness through my hose. He told me he was a nurse and asked what happened. He said you need to get that checked out I think it is infected. I took him to the back and pulled down my shorts and hose and he looked at it and said it was infected. I said shi- I don't have any insurance. He went back to the care center and told my doctor friend who said tell her to come by and I will look at. I went over to the clinic and the doctor came outside and looked at my leg. He said you have a infection where the cat scratched you. The doctor said give her 1 gram of rocephin and a tetanus. I asked the nurse how much it was going to cost. He said give me your address and I will stop by tonight. No cost, you did not get seen here today. I went back to work and told my friend. Oh shit my friend said. What? Your ass is going to be sore. I got one last month and my ass hurt for three days. Jack the nurse came over last night at 8 PM. I said I have to get this in my butt I am told. Yeah!. Both the tetanus and rocephin. Well I am going to let you decide either two or three injections. I watched as he drew up the rocephin. This is mixed with lidocaine so it does not hurt as bad. How much do you weigh he asked. 110 pounds. You are pretty tiny he said.
