Does anyone know how long before one gets a tattoo one should get a gamma globulin shot? I am going to go get one next week and would like to avoid hepatitis if at all possible.

I am a receptionist in a dental clinic and the dentist was going over an insurnace form with me and accidentally stuck me a needle in the palm of my hand. I had to go to my doctor for gamma globulin. I was weighed and placed in a room. About 20 minutes later a male nurse came into the room carrying 4 syringes and closed the door. I weigh a 110 pounbds and he told me I needed 8 cc of the immune globulin. He said I am giving it to you in 2cc doses. He told me it is thick. he said I can give you 2 shots but your bottom would really be sore. He told me the choice was mine. I laid on my stomach and pulled my scrubs down and my panties. One by one he stuck me with a very large needle in my butt cheek. It has been three days and my butt still is sore.
