As an adult, I was talking to a friend of mine about fear of shots as a kid. He said his mom was a nurse and he just never was afraid of shots. It didn't matter to him whether he took a pill, or got a shot.
At this point in my life, I don't care either.
But I think that ten year old girl had a pretty straight-forward attitude. And let's be honest, shots don't hurt That much. It's the fear of needles which is an issue for most people.

My mom once went for an allergy test where they give 10-20 subcutaneous injections in both arms. She said it felt 'neat.' Not sure what she meant lol.

I know exactly what you mean. My girlfriend at the time was also training to become a nurse, and of course she had to practice giving injections – so I basically became her personal guinea pig. 😅 Over time, I got quite a few shots.

What was also interesting is that my daughter – she was 10 years old at the time – would always join in voluntarily whenever she visited us on the weekends. She was super curious and brave, and would often let my girlfriend practice by giving her injections in the arm or thigh. Everything was always done hygienically and safely, of course.

I remember one day in particular when she got four shots – two in her thighs and two in her upper arms. The next morning, we’d always take off the band-aids before her mom noticed, because she didn’t want our daughter to be involved in stuff like that. But I figured, as long as my daughter was okay with it, then why not… 😄
