 Well, in last 40 or 50 years in Europe the use of IM injections has been gradually diminishing and nowadays they are quite uncommon. New generations of medicines have appeared and it's been more cared about patients' comfort. After all healing people is also a commercial venture and the customer must be happy. And most of them are not happy with painful injections, are they? This manner of medicines administration is also time, staff and money consuming. Thus I understand you - I'm 40+ now and also have a fetish without any practical experience and I know scarcely anyone who has ever got a painful IM injection.
