 I am now 24 and stated the long acting penicillin injections at the age of 10 when I had rheumatic heart. I get them every 2-4 weeks as4cc in one injection or two of the 2cc one in each side ( when I beg them to do so due to severe soreness) . It is my aunt who give them to me. Over the years I Got hundred of shots leaving my butts lumpy, with hard lumps scars and bruises. I still cry when the they inject the liquid in a sore spot or when the needle gets blocked and they reinject. My aunt gets angry and insist that I should by now get used to this. I know that the 18 thick needle is very painful but I get once and the don t have to try more than once. Now with all the scaring sometimes my aunt cannot push the liquid and has to move the needle in and out causing horrible pain. I hope that this whole suffering could end.....
