I can remember when I was a kid I think maybe 12 having to have shots in my rear. I remember how that made me cry also and was embarrassed by that. I really have not had in shots in my rearend this then. Now here I am 51 and middle management job and mandated we have a physical for our new insurance with the company doctor. This guy I work with went last week for his and said he had to have two shots in his rearend. We were given paperwork to fill in to take with us and there is a section on shots we have had. I stopped by my Mom's yesterday to show her the paperwork and see if she remembered me having any of these shots. She told me no she didn't think so. So now I am worried about my physical tomorrow. is 51 too old to have shots in my rearend? What if I cry at my age? I hate needles and I hate physicals also. I do see many of you did cry as kids and also I guess as adults also. May sound strange but wish my mom could go with me tomorrow and comfort me just in case I do have to have any shots.

Hi Joe, first of all 51 is not too old to have shots given in your rear. I am 61 and I still get my shots in my rear. Do not worry about crying, you will not be the first man the doctor or nurse has seen cry when he gets a shot. I did cry when I got my last shots. if you want your mom with you that is fine I say take her along, heck no big deal she is your mom and has seen you naked before I am sure. I do feel men do like someone with for comfort and take it you are single. Let us know how it goes for you and do not be embarrassed if you have the shots in your rearend and you do cry.

Why is anyone worried? No one HAS to get a shot in the butt....Take pills instead and end all this insanity....Tim

My buttocks are lean and muscular, which presumably makes shots back there hurt more, but I don't mind the pain if the nurse is beautiful.

I will let you know how I make out and if I did have to have any shots. My mom did say may be a good idea to get a flu shot, can that be given in rearend?
