In reply to: Haily 's message, "Walgreens shots?" on Friday, January 02, 2015, 02:03: pm

When making the appointment I always specify that I want my shots in the bottom, "regardless of what I might say at the time". The receptionist tells the nurse, who simply tells me to pull down my pants and bend over without question.

If it is a walk-in inoculation centre, I tell the nurse that I am there only to enquire and, if she agrees to give them in my bottom, I take them there and then. Otherwise, I tell her I will return for them later (and don't go back).

That's I'll have to give it a try of I can get up the nerve. It's a mix of I really do need to get some shots, too scared, think it would be easier in the bottom, and always sort of wanting to know what it's like, lol

Making the appointment is difficult for me too, Haily. It takes a lot of willpower but, once I have made the appointment and confirmed where I will get my shot(s), it is just a matter of going through the motions.

Regarding what it is like, I am nervous in the waiting room - wondering how it will feel the next time I try to sit down. Once inside, I drop trousers, pull down pants and bend over to wait while the nurse prepares my injection(s). Waiting for her to jab my vulnerable bare bottom can make me apprehensive but I remind myself that I have to get it and can no longer do anything to avoid it. Eventually I feel the alcohol swab (which can be erotic if the nurse is attractive) and then the sting of the needle going in. A moment later there comes the pain of the serum being injected. The slower she injects, the less it hurts but the longer it takes. Finally, there is the sting of the needle coming out.
As you surmise, notwithstanding embarrassment, the buttock is by far the least painful place to be injected and, when bending over, one can't see what is happening.
Please let me know if you would like further details by email of YIM.

Haily which state do you live in. I work in a Walgreens and if they ask to get the shot in their butt I simply take them to the bathroom, I bare their bottom and give them the shot. What shots are you needing and how old are you? If it is a thin girl I always give them their shots in the butt as there is more muscle mass there and it hurts less.

It is not uncommon. What shots are you needing? IF you are thin then getting them in the butt hurts a lot less. More more muscle mass there and you also work it into your muscle as you walk. How old are you?

How old are you and what do you weigh. If you are thin getting them in your butt will be a lot less painful.

Which shots do you need? Not trying to be personal but are you slim, medium? What state do you live in. Remember these are not nurses giving you the injections. I would go to a place where a nurse is giving you the injection. if you are getting a DTAP-tetanus I would ask to get it in your butt. As you walk you work it into your muscle and by the end of the day you will not feel it. Get it in your arm and it will ache for 3-4 days. Please keep me posted.
